Born in Madras, India, I come from an Urdu-speaking family very well known and respectable. My parents settled in Kuwait since 75 when I was 5 years old and I was brought up there till 16 when I was sent to Madras to complete 11th and 12th grade (I.Q. 130-140) and then went on to do medical studies in Jawaharlal Nehru medical college from Belgaum, India. I finished and came to Kuwait where I worked for a year In UNIKOM (United Nations Iraq-Kuwait Observation Mission). There I was encouraged by the US soldiers to continue higher studies in the US and one fine day here I was in Houston. That was in Jan 1996. Since then I have finished my step 1 and step 2 of USMLE and am in the process of applying for a residency. I am interested in psychiatry, emergency medicine and trauma care and internal medicine. | |||||||||||||||||||||||
